Day 01 :  Arrival Mumbai
Arrive at Mumbai international airport, a STI World Travel representative will be waiting for you outside the EXIT gate of arrival terminal, holding a STI placard. Met upon arrival and transfer to your hotel (room booked from previous night). Afternoon half day city tour of Mumbai visiting Gateway of India, Museum and Marine Drive. Later in the evening connect flight for Delhi. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel.

 
 
Day 02 :  Delhi – Haridwar – Rishikesh (Drive 270 Kms 6-7 Hours)
Morning drive to Rishikesh. The whole of Uttrakhand is dotted with temples of Vishnu & Shiva. Vishnu is known as Hari and Shiva as har dwar means gate, and it is for this reason that this place is known as Haridwar or hardwar, as it is the gateway to shri Badrinath and shri Kedarnath, the holy shrines of hari and har. The Hindu pantheon allows freedom of worship of gods in any form. Uttrakhand abounds in shrines of gods & goddesses and Haridwar from time immemorial has been the gateway to these shrines. Continue drive to Rishikesh.
 
  RISHIIKESH
 
 
rishikesh chardham yatraRishikesh is situated on the trisection of three districts of Garhwal division and most of the city lies on the right bank of the River Ganga, the place of sages is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides, it is said that when raibhya rishi did hard penances, god appeared by the name of hrishikesh and this area henceforth came to be known as Rishikesh. 
It is the starting point for the char dham pilgrimage of the Hindus in which pilgrims go to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath to seek spiritual salvation. On the way to the Garhwal Himalayas and the Sikh shrine at Hemkund sahib one passes Rishikesh. Rishikesh is the place for starting their trekking expeditions and excursions towards the Himalayan peaks, 10 km upstream at Shivpuri is the site for river running, rafting activities, on the roaring white water of Ganga, from October to May. The international yoga week, which attracts participation from all across the world, is held here every year from 2nd to 7th Feb. on the bank of Ganga River. We will visit
Triveni Ghat, Lakshman Jhoola.

Day 03 :   Rishikesh – Joshimath (253 km, 7-8 hrs)
Leave Rishikesh early morning for Joshimath via Devprayag, Ruderprayag, Karanprayag and Nandprayag see those places famous for confluence of two great river and proceed to Joshimath via chamoli and pipalkoti. Arrived Joshimath late afternoon visit Adi guru Shankracharya seat Narshimha temple.Overnight at Hotel

 
 
Day 04  :   Joshimath – Badrinath (45 km, 2-3 Hours) - Joshimath
Leave Joshimath early in the morning for Badrinath to offer the prayers.
 
  BADRINATH

 
 
badrinath chardham tourBadrinath is one of the four Dhams of the country and situated at an elevation of 3133 mts. above sea level, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as NAR & NARAYAN, with the towering NEEL KANTH PEAK providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild barriers, which gage it the name "Badri Van" meaning forest of berries. Facing the temple at the back of Alaknanda river there is a hot water spring known as TAPT KUND.

BADRINATH TEMPLE
Dedicated to lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinath is 15 mts. In height built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a flit bull and spire. Legend dates the temple prior to the Vedic age. Later in the afternoon drive back to Joshimath for overnight stay.


 
 
Day 05 :   Joshimath – Guptkashi (176 km, 6-7 hrs)
After breakfast leave for Joshimath via Chopta, one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through the thick medicinal forest and stop at Pipalkoti for Tea/ Coffee Lunch (Packed). Arrive at Guptkashi by late afternoon. Evening fee to rest and relax. Dinner and O/N at Camp.
 
 
Day 06 :  Guptkashi–Gaurikund (32 km dive) and trek to Kedarnath (14 km)
Early morning departure, to Gaurikund after having morning bath at hot spring "KUND" Gaurikund leave for trek to Kedarnath temple by dolly-pony (14 km) reach Kedarnath in afternoon

kedarnath chardham tour packageAn imposing sight standing in the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by snow-covered peaks. The present temple built in 18th century A.D. by Adi Shankracharya, stands adjacent tot he site of earlier temple built by the pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with figures of various deities and scenes from mythology. Outside the temple door a large statue of the Nandi bull stands as guard. Dedicated to lord Shiva, the exquisitely architecture, Kedarnath temple is considered to be more than 1000 years old. Built of extremely large heavy and evenly cut gray stones. It evokes wonder as to how these heavy slabs had been handled in the earlier days. The temple has a "Garbha Griha" for worship and mandap appt. for assemblies of pilgrims and visitors. A conical rock formation inside the temple is worshipped as lord Shiva in his sadashiva form. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.
 
 
Day 07 :   Kedarnath – Gaurikund (trek 14 km)– Rudraprayag (88 km, 4-5 hrs)
Trek down from Kedarnath to Gaurikund to get your parked bus or car and drive to Rudraprayag. Rest at riverside resort.  Overnight stay at Rudraprayag.

 
 
Day 08 :  Rudraprayag – Uttarkashi (213 km 7-8 hrs)
Leave Rudraprayagto Uttarkashi (180 km) via ghansil-baldianaa. Arrival Uttarkashi late afternoon visit to famous Nehru mountaineering inst. (according to the timing) overnight stay at Uttarkashi.  Overnight at Hotel/Camps

 
 
Day 09  :  Uttarkashi – Gangotri (96 km, 3-4 hrs)- Harsil (22 km, 1-2 hrs)
Leave Uttarkashi to Gangotri via lanka-bjaironghati. Arrive Gangotri in afternoon. The shrine of Gangotri situated at an elevation of 3200 mts. above sea level. The temple, constructed by the Gorkha general Amar singh thapa in the 18th century is situated on the back of BHAGIRATHI. Evening free for darshan-pooja at Ganga

As legend goes raja BHAGIRATHI used to worship lord Shiva at the sacred stone near which the temple is located. It is believed that goddess, Ganga first descended to earth from heaven at this stone. Amar singh thapa, the Gorkha commander of Garhwal, in the 18th century A.D. constructed this temple. It is also believed that the pandavas come here to perform the great deva yagna to atone the death of their kinsmen in the battle of MAHABHARATA. After visit drive back to Harsil for overnight stay.



 
  Day 10  :  Harsil– Barkot (155 km, 6-7 hrs)
Drive from Harsil to Barkot.  Arrive Barkot late afternoon. Evening free to rest and realx. Overnight in fix camp at Barkot.
 
 
Day 11 Barkot-Yamnotri-Barkot (Drive 32 kms, trek 14 kms round)
Again after an early breakfast leave for Hanuman Chatti (Drive 32 kms) to start your journey. Take a local jeep to reach Phool Chatti to shorten your trek by 5 kms.  On arrival start your day on a tough trek of 7 kms one side. Arrive at Yamunotri and pray at temple and also take a holy Achman to start your most sacred pilgrimage to Char Dhams. Come back to Phool Chatti in the evening to return back to Camp resort for dinner and relaxation with Ayurvedic Massage at the resort. O/N at The Chardham Camp, Barkot.
 
  Day 12  :  Barkot-Haridwar (186 kms, 6-7 hrs drive)
After breakfast drive back to Haridwar. Evening free to rest and relax. Overnight at hotel.
 
  Day 13  : Haridwar
Day to visit the temples, Ghats and attend the Arti at Har Ki Powdi. Overnight at hotel.
 
  Day 14  :  Haridwar-Delhi
After breakfast drive back to Delhi. Day free to rest and relax and overnight at hotel.
 
 
Day 15  :  Delhi
Full day sight seeing tour of Old and New Delhi.  We begin with Red Fort, built by the great Mughal Shah Jahan in the 17th century. Rising amid the chaotic huddle of streets is the Jama Masjid, India's most beautiful mosque, its black-striped marble cupolas etched against the skyline.  We'll visit the Red Fort and explore the bustling Chandni Chowk, the best of all Asian bazaars. Everything here contrasts vividly with New Delhi’s spacious gardens, sparkling ornamental waters and immense formal vistas. Visit India Gare, drive pass Govt Buildings, President House, Parliament and visit Qutab Minar. Overnight at Hotel
 
 
Day 16 :  Leave Delhi
In time transfer to international airport to connect flight back home.
